Leidos has launched UpHold Effect Agentic SOC Automation, a platform that uses artificial intelligence agents to help security operations center teams determine which cyberthreats warrant urgent response as alert volumes grow.

What Is UpHold Effect Agentic SOC Automation?
The company said Tuesday UpHold Effect Agentic SOC Automation is an agentic AI platform that investigates cyber alerts across an organization’s existing security tools and recommends response actions for security operations center analysts. The platform’s AI agents sort alerts, collect relevant information and compile findings for analyst review.
According to Leidos, the capability is designed to operate alongside agencies’ existing security tools and allows customers to define the level of authority granted to the AI.
Federal customers can deploy the platform under a FedRAMP Class D (High) option. The company said government sponsorship could open a path to Department of War Impact Level 4 and 5 environments.
Steve Hull, president of Leidos Digital, said cybersecurity teams must match the speed of emerging threats while retaining control over their operations.
“UpHold Effect Agentic SOC Automation can take on more of the investigative workload while giving agencies the flexibility to decide when AI recommends an action and when it is allowed to act,” added Hull, a previous Wash100 awardee.
What Other AI-Enabled Cyber Efforts Has Leidos Pursued?
The launch of UpHold Effect Agentic SOC Automation follows Leidos’ partnership with RegScale to automate cybersecurity compliance using UpHold Armor, another offering in the UpHold suite. The company has brought autonomous security agents to government networks through a collaboration with Dropzone AI and introduced Parcata, an AI-powered platform that finds and fixes software vulnerabilities.
Leidos has expanded its broader AI portfolio through partnerships with OpenAI for agentic and generative AI integration, Trustible for automated AI governance, The Modern Data Company for AI-ready data and CoreWeave for sovereign AI cloud services.
