- ArcherEye combines model-based systems engineering principles with digital engineering
- SPA software integrates engineering, network and simulation data in a common environment
- SPA developed a commercial version with licensing and IP protections
Systems Planning & Analysis has made its ArcherEye mission engineering and digital analysis software commercially available, opening a direct licensing path for government agencies and industry customers.
The Alexandria, Virginia-based company said Wednesday it built licensing and intellectual property safeguards into the software’s commercial version, which also includes security verification and validation.
How Does ArcherEye Support Mission Engineering?
ArcherEye is designed to give engineers and decision-makers a shared environment for examining complex system architectures and their role in mission execution. The software works to brings together engineering, network and simulation data to help users identify capability gaps and assess potential approaches. It applies model-based systems engineering principles and digital engineering methods to mission effectiveness analysis.
SPA’s work in mission engineering and operational analysis includes evaluating Navy operational plans and force readiness, supporting investment decisions and examining kill chains for operational and technical gaps. This work spans joint operations, multidomain warfare and complex networks.
SPA has also discussed using ArcherEye alongside other analytical tools at its Advanced Analytics Lab, where teams conduct cross-domain warfare assessments and layered homeland defense analyses.
What Does ArcherEye’s Commercial Release Include?
In addition to the software, SPA provides installation, configuration, software maintenance and customizable user training. The company also offers additional professional services to support customer requirements.
The ArcherEye announcement follows SPA’s commercial release of its AthenaSight wargaming platform, which supports mission planning, scenario analysis and operational assessment for national security organizations.
What Did SPA CEO Say About the ArcherEye Launch?
“Bringing ArcherEye to market reflects SPA’s commitment to making our mission engineering technology more accessible,” said SPA CEO Rich Sawchak. He said the move allows organizations to integrate sophisticated analysis into their own development efforts as defense and intelligence agencies face pressure to accelerate capability development.
