- Renewal extends support to more MV-22 squadrons at New River
- New capabilities include AI-enabled flight schedule creation
- The Potomac Officers Club will host the 2027 Defense R&D Summit on Feb. 4
Virtualitics has renewed and expanded its aviation readiness contract with the Marine Corps 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station New River.
The company said Tuesday support now covers six MV-22 Osprey squadrons, with a seventh scheduled to onboard post-deployment. The renewal follows a November 2025 award to deploy the company’s Integrated Readiness Optimization platform for the Osprey fleet.

AI-driven decision support continues to shape how the services manage readiness and sustainment. The Potomac Officers Club will host the 2027 Defense R&D Summit on Feb. 4 at the Hilton McLean, where Department of War and national security technology officials will discuss trusted AI and autonomy. What Will the Osprey Contract Renewal Add?
Under the expanded agreement, Virtualitics will integrate new capabilities into Iris, its agentic readiness platform, including live data feeds, a redesigned user interface, expanded evaluation tools and artificial intelligence-driven flight schedule generation. Developed in collaboration with Marine Corps personnel, the enhancements address systemic readiness bottlenecks. Chief Commercial Officer Rob Bocek noted that readiness challenges stem from the interdependencies among maintenance, material, manpower and operational schedules, emphasizing that the platform allows commanders to identify compounding risks earlier.
Why Does the Osprey Contract Renewal Matter?
The award is the company’s first through the Tradewinds Marketplace and its first other transaction agreement issued under competitive commercial solutions opening procedures.
Virtualitics has been building its defense credentials on other fronts. The company secured Impact Level 5 and Impact Level 6 authority to operate this month, clearing its readiness platform for controlled unclassified information and for classified work on secret-level networks. It agreed in May to integrate OpenAI frontier models into Iris.
The company also holds Air Force Global Strike Command work. AFGSC renewed a contract in October 2025 for the Automated Master Storage Planning platform, which uses generative modeling and 3D visualization to plan munitions storage and mobilization, following a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research award for a related palletization tool.
