Integral Federal has received a reappraisal of its services and development processes under ISACA’s Capability Maturity Model Integration, or CMMI.

Integral Federal said Tuesday Williamsburg Process Solutions conducted the appraisal, which placed the company at CMMI Maturity Level 3.

What Does CMMI Maturity Level 3 Mean for Integral Federal?

Integral Federal said the appraisal rated each of its services and development domain practices as “Fully Met,” the highest characterization available for an individual practice. The company said the result shows that its processes are applied consistently throughout the organization.

ISACA’s CMMI is an outcome-based model that serves as a global benchmark for building organizational capability, improving business performance and aligning operations with business objectives. A Maturity Level 3 rating designates an organization as operating at a “defined” level, where processes are clearly documented and understood through standards, tools, procedures and methods.

Abhai Johri, president and CEO of Integral Federal, attributed the reappraisal to the team’s commitment to continuous improvement and recognized Quality Assurance Manager Cherie Sprout for leading the development of the company’s processes and guiding employees in adhering to them.

“This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to our team’s dedication, discipline, and commitment to continuous improvement,” Johri said.

What Is Integral Federal?

Integral Federal is a McLean, Virginia-based national security technology company that has supported government customers for more than 35 years, offering expertise in digital transformation, identity intelligence, multimodal biometrics, artificial intelligence and systems engineering for national security, defense and civilian missions.

What Are Integral Federal’s Other Recent Developments?

The CMMI reappraisal follows Integral Federal’s achievement of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 certification after a formal assessment by an accredited third-party assessment organization. The company said in August that the certification demonstrates its ability to protect sensitive data supporting mission-critical operations for the Department of War and other national security customers. Integral Federal holds several other independently audited certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 20000 and ISO 27001.

John Humphrey, the company’s senior vice president for operations, discussed Integral Federal’s approach to CMMC compliance, its use of AI and its response to the government’s push for commercial solutions in a recent Executive Spotlight interview.

On the leadership front, Integral Federal recently named Greg Carper vice president of growth. Carper, a business development executive with two decades of defense and intelligence experience, previously led business development at the company.

In January, Integral Federal joined the ServiceNow Partner Program as a consulting and implementation partner to support agencies’ digital modernization efforts. The partnership gives the company access to the ServiceNow AI Platform, which integrates AI into enterprise workflows, and enables Integral Federal to guide agencies through platform adoption.

The company also won a spot on the Missile Defense Agency’s potential 10-year, $151 billion SHIELD contract late last year. Under the multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, Integral Federal will provide systems engineering support, including testing, integration and experimentation of advanced avionics systems.

Integral Federal has expanded access to its offerings by joining the Amazon Web Services Marketplace for the U.S. intelligence community, through which agencies can procure the company’s data science, application lifecycle management and IT support services.
