Carahsoft Technology will serve as Bugcrowd’s Master Government Aggregator to expand public sector access to the latter’s security platform.

The partnership will make Bugcrowd’s proactive security and vulnerability testing capabilities available to government customers through a network of resellers and contract vehicles, including NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V, OMNIA Partners and E&I Cooperative Services, Carahsoft said Wednesday.

What Does the Bugcrowd Platform Deliver?

Bugcrowd’s cloud-native platform supports managed bug bounty programs, vulnerability disclosure programs, penetration testing and red teaming.

It operates in a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program Moderate-authorized environment sponsored by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, enabling agencies to deploy offensive security testing capabilities while meeting federal compliance requirements.

Bugcrowd connects organizations with a global network of vetted security researchers, helping agencies identify and remediate vulnerabilities in a controlled environment while addressing ongoing cybersecurity talent shortages.

Its CrowdMatch AI capability aligns testing tasks with researcher expertise to support specific cybersecurity needs.

Why Does FedRAMP Authorization Matter?

Bugcrowd’s recent FedRAMP Moderate authorization enables federal agencies to deploy its platform at scale without undergoing lengthy provisional approval processes, accelerating adoption of proactive security testing.

The authorization validates the platform’s ability to meet government standards for data protection, operational integrity and secure deployment — key requirements for mission-critical environments.

“With Bugcrowd’s achievement of a FedRAMP Moderate designation, Carahsoft and its reseller partners are providing Public Sector customers access to the innovative, crowdsourced security capabilities that are essential for Federal, State and Local supply chains to strengthen modern defense strategies,” said Brian O’Donnell, Carahsoft’s vice president of cybersecurity solutions.

How Does Bugcrowd Fit Into Carahsoft’s Public Sector Strategy?

The partnership adds Bugcrowd to Carahsoft’s growing portfolio of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence-driven offerings for government customers.

Carahsoft recently established similar agreements with vendors such as Zifino, RAD Security and Dataminr to deliver compliance automation, visibility and automated response capabilities, and real-time threat intelligence to government customers.
