Core Tech-HDCC-Kajima has been tasked to construct a defense system command center in Guam under a firm-fixed-price contract awarded by the U.S. Navy. Work on the $295 million contract, which was competitively procured, will be carried out at Joint Region Marianas in Guam and is expected to be completed by March 2029, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Features of the Guam Defense Command Center

According to a report by The Guam Daily Post, the command center will have a total floor area of 57,000 square feet and include a switchgear building, a power generation facility, an entry control facility, a fuel storage facility and other similar equipment.

The command center is a component of the Guam Missile Defense System, built to protect Guam, and will have several functional areas to host computing equipment, user interfaces, personnel and communications required for missions.
