In a notice published Friday on the DHS Acquisition Planning Forecast System, CISA said it expects to release a solicitation by Sept. 30 and award the contract during the first quarter of fiscal year 2027.
The planned procurement came a month after DHS announced plans to award contracts to major cloud service providers as part of its Cumulus cloud acquisition strategy.
What Is the Scope of the Proposed Contract?
According to the forecast notice, CISA’s Cybersecurity Division requires AWS cloud hosting services to support compute, storage and data protection capabilities across the agency’s existing cloud environment.
The agency will receive AWS cloud services through a certified reseller.
CISA expects contract performance to continue through Nov. 21, 2030, with work primarily performed in Arlington, Virginia.
How Will CISA Acquire the Cloud Hosting Services?
The cloud hosting requirement will be acquired through a firm-fixed-price contract that serves as a follow-on to an existing effort supporting CISA’s AWS environment.
CISA intends to pursue the requirement as a full small business set-aside program and will use NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V contract vehicle.
The notice lists Four Points Technology as the incumbent contractor.
