Why Is BAE Systems Expanding Its Presence in Utah?
The company said Friday that the site provides a modern workspace for engineering, digital transformation and mission operations teams supporting national security initiatives conducted in the state.
Company leaders highlighted Utah’s growing reputation as a center for technical talent and defense innovation as a key factor behind the expansion.
“Expanding here allows us to strengthen capability delivery and ensure the U.S. maintains readiness for strategic deterrence,” Jenn Galloway, integration support contract director at BAE Systems, stated.
BAE Systems’ Continued Expansion
The Utah expansion is part of a wider effort by BAE Systems to enhance its engineering and manufacturing infrastructure across the United States. In recent years, the company has opened a large engineering and product development center in Maple Grove, Minnesota, focused on advanced weapons, naval systems and military vehicles. BAE Systems has also invested in modernizing its microelectronics facility in Nashua, New Hampshire, with support from the CHIPS and Science Act.
