A Koniag Government Services subsidiary has received a potential five-year, $55 million contract from Washington Headquarters Services to provide IT, artificial intelligence and machine learning support services to the Office of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer, or OCDAO.

What Is the Scope of the Contract?
The Department of War said Monday said the firm-fixed-price, time-and-materials contract carries an initial value of approximately $9.4 million.
Under the contract, Koniag IT Systems will help OCDAO speed up DOW’s use of data, analytics and AI. The company will also support the office’s work to deploy AI-enabled tools across the department and to align data and AI initiatives departmentwide to improve decision-making for the joint force.
The company will carry out the work in Falls Church, Virginia, and performance is expected to conclude in September 2031 if all options are exercised.
WHS, which serves as the contracting activity, obligated $4.6 million at the time of the award.
What Other Recent Milestones Has Koniag Achieved?
The latest contract follows an $83.3 million award the company received from WHS in September 2025 to provide business intelligence analytical capabilities. That firm-fixed-price contract came with a $13.9 million base value.
In November 2025, parent company Koniag Government Services announced that its Core Engineering Capability Unit and Core Services Capability Unit achieved Maturity Level 3 in the Information Systems Audit and Control Association’s Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development and Services.
In April, KGS earned Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2, DOW’s required cybersecurity standard for contractors handling controlled unclassified information. KGS is an Alaska Native Corporation that serves defense and federal civilian agencies through wholly owned subsidiaries.
