Mercury Systems and Palantir Technologies have partnered to automate material planning and factory operations as part of efforts to speed up the delivery of processing technologies for U.S. military programs.

How Will the Mercury-Palantir Partnership Support DOW Programs?
Mercury said Monday Palantir will work with defense industrial base suppliers to help increase throughput and shorten delivery timelines for critical components and subsystems. Two initial workflows will enable Mercury to streamline material planning and reduce manual work across its factories in support of DOW and its programs.
Under the strategic agreement, Palantir will also help Mercury develop an enterprise ontology that will serve as a digital twin of its operations and business practices to accelerate decision-making and improve the predictability of production.
What Did Mercury & Palantir Officials Say About the Partnership?
Mercury Chairman and CEO William Ballhaus said the partnership will help the company build on automation and efficiency efforts across its supply chain and manufacturing operations.
“Partnering with Palantir will enable Mercury to further drive automation and efficiency in our supply chain and manufacturing operations, which are key to accelerating delivery of critical, high-demand capabilities for the warfighter,” said Ballhaus, a previous Wash100 Award winner. “Through investments and optimization efforts across our organization, we are focused on accelerating the development of AI-powered, mission-critical solutions providing a decisive advantage on the battlefield.”
Mike Gallagher, Palantir’s head of defense, said the company is providing AI software to help speed up the production of critical defense systems.
“By integrating numerous data sources within a shared operational layer, Mercury will be positioned to deliver vital processing technologies at the speed and scale necessary to maintain U.S. deterrence and warfighting advantage and continue to accelerate their design and delivery processes through the use of the Foundry,” Gallagher said.
What Other Partnerships Have Mercury & Palantir Formed?
The partnership follows a separate agreement between Mercury Systems and national security services firm Nightwing to integrate cyber resilience technology into Mercury’s hardware portfolio for aerospace and defense systems.
Palantir has also expanded its multiyear partnership with GE Aerospace to strengthen U.S. Air Force aviation readiness and support operations across GE Aerospace’s production environment.
Boeing Defense, Space & Security and Palantir similarly partnered to deploy AI systems and software throughout Boeing’s factories and programs.
