- Knox and Palantir will help federal customers deploy software in FedRAMP and IL5 environments
- Knox says it can secure FedRAMP authorization in 90 days or less
- Palantir has helped software companies deploy to the federal government on its accredited infrastructure
Knox Systems and Palantir Technologies have partnered to help deliver mission-critical software to federal customers operating in regulated cloud environments.
Knox said Monday the collaboration aims to support customers with critical mission requirements in Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, or FedRAMP, and Impact Level 5 environments.
How Will the Partnership Support Federal Software Deployment?
The agreement combines Palantir’s experience helping software companies deploy applications on its accredited infrastructure with Knox’s process for obtaining FedRAMP authorization in 90 days or less.
Knox provides managed cloud services for federal agencies and the Department of War and supports more than 100 artificial intelligence and enterprise software applications across federal environments.
Knox has supported FedRAMP authorizations for companies such as Kovr.ai, which obtained authorization in 42 days, and Vannevar, which secured FedRAMP High authorization for its AI-powered homeland security mission systems.
The collaboration works to provide commercial software developers a path to deliver applications to government customers while meeting security requirements for regulated environments. The effort is intended to help mission-critical software reach government users on deployment schedules suited to their needs.
What Do Knox & Palantir Bring to Federal Customers?
Knox CEO Irina Denisenko said the company aims to help government customers access commercial software more quickly while protecting applications after deployment. She also noted that FedRAMP and IL5 environments have been important to Palantir’s work with government customers.
In September, Knox launched an IL5 environment sponsored by the U.S. Space Force, extending the FedRAMP High and Impact Level 4 capabilities the company has held since 2019.
Palantir Global Head of Business Development Kevin Kawasaki said the partnership will expand efforts to deliver software and other mission-critical tools to warfighters and the federal government.
