Virtualitics has named Dave Rey, president of global public sector at Salesforce, to its board of directors, supporting the artificial intelligence software provider as it accelerates expansion across defense and government markets.
Rey, a two-time Wash100 Award recipient, brings three decades of experience scaling software-as-a-service sales implementation for public sector clients, Virtualitics said Thursday.
According to Michael Amori, CEO and co-founder of Virtualitics, Rey’s track record in large-scale public sector software deployments will help guide Virtualitics’ hypergrowth phase.
Who Is Dave Rey?
As president of Salesforce’s global public sector business, Rey oversees sales and strategic partnerships that support governments, nonprofits and educational institutions worldwide. He joined Salesforce in 2013 as senior vice president for the North American public sector. He was promoted to executive vice president before he was elevated to his current role in 2019.
Prior to joining Salesforce, Rey spent nearly 18 years as a group vice president at Oracle for the public sector in North America. His earlier career included roles at Booz Allen Hamilton and Falcon Microsystems, as well as service at the National Security Agency.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Towson University and a master’s degree in business from Central Michigan University.

“Virtualitics is solving one of the public sector’s most difficult challenges: turning high-stakes data into decision intelligence that leaders can trust and act on in real time,” Rey said.
“I’m excited to join the Virtualitics board at a moment when the company is demonstrating and expanding real-world impact across critical missions,” he added.
