Government demand for encryption that can withstand future quantum-enabled attacks reflects a broader push to prepare for the next generation of defense and national security technologies. The Potomac Officers Club’s 2027 Defense R&D Summit on Feb. 4 will bring together Department of War officials and industry leaders to discuss quantum computing, trusted AI and autonomy, unmanned systems, 5G and advanced space technologies. Panel sessions will cover assuring AI models, data and supply chains, engineering resilient connectivity for contested environments, and strengthening research security across the defense innovation base. How Will Carahsoft Support pQCee Through the Partnership?

Carahsoft said Thursday it will offer pQCee’s products and services to federal, state and local agencies, as well as healthcare and education organizations, by serving as the company’s Master Government Aggregator. Public sector customers can purchase the tools through Carahsoft’s reseller network or via The Interlocal Purchasing System and OMNIA Partners contracts.

Through the partnership, the companies seek to support agencies as they prepare for the transition to post-quantum cryptography while safeguarding sensitive information and communications against emerging quantum-enabled threats.

How Does pQCee’s Technology Work?

pQCee’s tools use quantum-safe encryption to protect data exchanges, email, mobile and web-based information, and other critical digital transactions. The company’s crypto-agile design allows agencies to update their encryption gradually rather than overhaul their existing infrastructure.

What Did Carahsoft & pQCee Officials Say About the Partnership?

Troy Meraw, director of quantum solutions at Carahsoft, said pQCee’s offerings join the company’s existing portfolio of cybersecurity and quantum-safe technologies.

“As government agencies prepare for evolving federal cybersecurity requirements and the transition to post-quantum cryptography, pQCee’s quantum-safe solutions will help public sector organizations protect sensitive data, improve crypto-agility and strengthen mission resilience,” Meraw added.

Teik Guan Tan, CEO of pQCee, described the partnership as a step toward preparing agencies for the post-quantum era.

“Together with Carahsoft, we are helping agencies take practical action now to reduce harvest-now, decrypt-later risk and build a more resilient, quantum-ready cybersecurity foundation,” Tan said.

How Is Carahsoft Expanding Its Cybersecurity Portfolio?

The pQCee agreement adds to a growing roster of quantum-focused offerings Carahsoft makes available to government customers. In January, the company signed on as ISARA’s public sector distributor to deliver quantum readiness services and a quantum-safe toolkit to the Department of War and civilian agencies. Carahsoft also partnered with ZeroTier to distribute its post-quantum secure networking platform and added QuSecure’s post-quantum cryptography and cryptographic-agility tools to its General Services Administration Schedule contract.

Beyond quantum security, Carahsoft has brought several other cybersecurity vendors into its public sector catalog this year. The company agreed to offer RAD Security’s AI-driven cloud detection and response platform and to serve as the Master Government Aggregator for Bugcrowd’s crowdsourced security testing platform. It also entered a distribution partnership with Checkmarx to bring the company’s agentic application security platform to agencies.
