Global security and growth advisory firm The Chertoff Group has added three senior advisers with federal expertise to its team. The additions — Troy Miller, Eric Leckey and Jim Williams — further enhance the company’s capabilities with the diverse leadership experience that they bring, Chad Sweet, CEO and co-founder of Chertoff Group, said in a statement released Tuesday.

Miller’s Law Enforcement Experience
More than 30 years of experience in national and homeland security is what Miller can provide Chertoff Group clients. He had served as acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where he oversaw 67,000 employees in pursuing the agency’s core missions of counterterrorism and trade enforcement. He had also led the CBPs National Targeting Center as executive director, pursuing intelligence analysis and activities to mitigate national security threats.
Leckey’s Homeland Security Background
Leckey contributes to the team his over 20 years of experience at the Department of Homeland Security ecosystem. He most recently served as associate administrator for mission support at the Federal Emergency Management Agency, where he managed a team of 1,500 mission support professionals, plus 600 disaster reservists.
Williams’ Acquisitions Expertise
Williams is bringing in over 18 years of experience in the federal Senior Executive Service handling programs and acquisitions. He had previously served as the General Services Administration’s acting administrator and as the first GSA Federal Acquisition Service commissioner.
