What Does the Contract Cover?

SGT said the task order covers maintenance and support services for integrated electronic security systems and physical security infrastructure at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Patrick Space Force Base in support of Space Launch Delta 45, the Naval Ordnance Test Unit, Strategic Weapons Ashore and other on-site government agencies.

“Our team at the Cape has continuously demonstrated exceptional focus and commitment for their role in servicing critical security systems relied on by the national security organizations that call Cape Canaveral home,” said John Ustica, president and CEO of Siemens Government Technologies.

“This newest task order affirms our customers’ confidence in the work we’ve done – and will continue to do – in support of their missions of national consequence,” the four-time Wash100 Award winner added.

How Does This Effort Build on Prior Work?

The award extends SGT’s longstanding role supporting security systems along the Space Coast, where the company has performed similar work for more than a decade. The company provides capabilities spanning building automation, utility monitoring and control systems, as well as heating, ventilation, fire protection and electronic security across military installations. In September 2022, SGT was awarded a spot on a seven-year, $675 million contract to provide manpower, equipment and non-personal services for electronic security systems.

Recent SGT Awards

The latest task order builds on a series of recent federal engagements secured by SGT. In March, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Energy to support the Genesis Mission, applying capabilities in industrial artificial intelligence, digital twins and mission-critical infrastructure to accelerate scientific discovery. Earlier in January, it was awarded a position on the Missile Defense Agency’s potential 10-year, $151 billion Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense contract.
