- Parry Labs has landed a GDLS enterprise software deal
- GDLS will standardize on STRATIA and VIW software
- The deal supports Army combat vehicle modernization
Parry Labs and General Dynamics Land Systems have signed a five-year enterprise license agreement covering Parry Labs’ STRATIA and VIW software platforms.
Parry Labs said Friday the agreement expands the use of both platforms across GDLS combat vehicle programs supporting the U.S. Army.
What Is the Scope of the Agreement?
Under the agreement, GDLS will standardize on STRATIA and VIW across its vehicle platforms.
Parry Labs will provide computer software configuration items, software integration support and engineering services covering systems and software architecture, cybersecurity, and network design. The software supports compliance with the Ground Combat Systems Common Infrastructure Architecture, or GCIA, and conformance with the FACE Technical Standard, along with alignment to the modular open systems approach, or MOSA.
The work will help GDLS prototype, integrate and deploy new technologies on Army ground combat vehicles while maintaining interoperability across changing vehicle architectures.
The licensing deal follows a teaming agreement the two companies formed in October 2025 to bring digital integration and continuous software delivery to Army ground combat platforms. That collaboration paired GDLS’ combat vehicle experience with Parry Labs’ digital engineering, edge computing and commercial artificial intelligence infrastructure to help shorten upgrade timelines and reduce lifecycle costs.
What Did Parry Labs & GDLS Leaders Say About the Agreement?
Parry Labs CEO Don Claussen said the five-year commitment demonstrates GDLS’ confidence in the company’s technology and its delivery record on complex defense programs.
“We’re proud to support their mission with software designed to enable faster innovation, strengthen cyber resilience, and accelerate delivery of next-generation capabilities to the warfighter,” added Claussen, who assumed the CEO role in May, succeeding Founder John “JD” Parkes, a two-time Wash100 Award winner who became executive chairman.
Jeff Massimilla, vice president of engineering, design and technology at GDLS, said the company builds its combat vehicles to quickly take on new digital capabilities.
“Parry Labs’ STRATIA and VIW platforms provide a powerful, open and cyber-resilient software foundation that aligns with GCIA and MOSA principles and helps ensure warfighters receive modernized, mission-ready systems faster,” Massimilla said.
What Other Partnerships Has Parry Labs Recently Announced?
The GDLS agreement builds on a series of partnerships Parry Labs has announced this year. In January, the company teamed up with AV to support the Army’s long-range reconnaissance unmanned aircraft system effort, providing STRATIA under a multiyear enterprise license for command and control, autonomy and artificial intelligence applications on the P550.
In March, Parry Labs partnered with Crow Industries to integrate its edge computing and autonomy infrastructure into Fenris Group 2 unmanned ground vehicles, allowing operators to maintain connectivity and control during electronic warfare.
The company has continued to build out its leadership team alongside these partnerships, most recently appointing Scott DeVona as chief revenue officer in September.
