- His responsibilities include automation and internal business process changes
- Reid led Apogee’s secure cloud architecture and CMMC Level 2 efforts
Josh Reid has been elevated to vice president of technology at Apogee Engineering as part of the company’s ongoing investment in technology leadership focused on operational gains, responsible innovation and data protection.
What Will Josh Reid Oversee at Apogee?
The Colorado Springs-based company said Friday Reid’s expanded role covers secure artificial intelligence adoption, cybersecurity compliance and enterprise technology strategy. He will also oversee business modernization efforts by streamlining operations and making information more accessible to employees. Internally, he will expand automation so teams can apply their expertise to higher-value work.
Apogee said the position will connect its internal technology efforts with the data needs of its defense and intelligence customers. Working with Apogee’s mission leaders, Reid will help those customers securely collect and analyze rising volumes of complex information.
“My focus hasn’t changed; making sure our employees and our customers have what they need to succeed and faster than they ask for it,” Reid said.
What Experience Does Reid Bring?
Reid has led several technology and cybersecurity initiatives at Apogee, including the implementation of secure cloud architectures and the company’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 program. He also played a part in the company’s efforts to earn a Commendable security rating from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency in 2026.
Before taking the technology VP role, Reid served as director of infrastructure development, where he oversaw IT, security and facilities functions. Other responsibilities included IT operations manager and network systems engineer.
Reid also served as IT manager at Telecom Solutions and director of IT at Delta Solutions and Strategy.
Apogee President and CEO Frank Varga said Reid’s leadership combines secure technology development with an understanding of how customers use technology to carry out their missions.
