Seasoned IT executive Jennifer Chronis, a two-time Wash100 Award winner, shared in a LinkedIn post Monday her appointment as Snowflake vice president of U.S. public sector. Michael Gannon, the company’s chief revenue officer, announced also in LinkedIn that Chronis is bringing to her new position over 25 years of industry experience, including executive roles at VMware, Verizon, Amazon Web Services and IBM.
“The opportunity to make a difference in public sector is massive – from unlocking the power of AI in government to enabling secure data collaboration across agencies and partners – and we’re excited to accelerate our momentum with her leadership,” Gannon commented.
Chronis’ Previous Executive Roles
Chronis most recently served as public sector VP for Broadcom, according to her LinkedIn profile. She held the same role at Verizon for more than one year, following a stint of over four years at AWS as general manager of the company’s services for the Department of Defense.
The new Snowflake U.S. public sector VP had previously served IBM for more than eight years, serving last as VP for the company’s DOD integrated account. In an earlier stint with the company, Chronis served as IBM’s client executive for the U.S. Army from April 2001 to September 2004.
She is a retired Army lieutenant colonel, with more than 21 years of military service. Chronis earned a bachelor of science in commerce degree from the University of Virginia.
