Tricentis, a provider of software testing tools and platforms, has named Eran Sher as chief product officer to lead in advancing its new market offerings, including Remote Model Context Protocol servers and Tricentis Agentic Test Automation.
The Austin Texas-based company said that in his role, Sher aims to drive artificial intelligence innovation across its offerings, and launch new beta programs and co-development projects with enterprise customers to accelerate market delivery of advanced test platforms. In addition, he will seek to strengthen the collaboration between Tricentis and its partners in providing next-gen testing tools for complex enterprise requirements.
CEO Comments on Sher’s CPO Capabilities
Kevin Thompson, Tricentis CEO, described Sher as a “natural fit” for his new role, with his customer-focused ability to transform theoretical ideas to practical applications. “As we accelerate time-to-value, lead AI innovation in the software quality space and provide customers with the solutions they need to deliver strong business outcomes, Eran will play a critical role in driving our mission to empower teams toward their goal of high-quality software,” the company head remarked.
Sher joined Tricentis in July 2024, initially as its executive vice president and general manager of quality intelligence business unit, according to his LinkedIn profile. The company took him in then after it acquired SeaLights Technologies, where Sher was CEO and co-founder.
With over 25 years of experience in enterprise software development, Sher also previously co-founded Nolio, a continuous deployment platform that CA Technologies had acquired. In addition, he held previous executive roles at PortAuthority Technologies, Mercury Interactive and Conduct. Sher earned a degree in bachelor of science degree in chemistry and computer science from the Tel Aviv University.
