- The Reston office will house a new mission integration center
- The project is set to bring 78 new jobs to Fairfax County
- Auria supports missile defense and space domain awareness for government customers
Auria will invest $1.8 million to open its East Coast headquarters in Reston, Virginia, to broaden its access to key government and commercial clients.
What Does Auria’s Reston Headquarters Project Include?
Auria said Tuesday the project is expected to create 78 new jobs in Fairfax County. The Reston site will include a mission integration center to provide Auria with space to develop, test and demonstrate command and control technologies for its national security clients.
Auria will receive state support for recruiting and training new employees under the Virginia Jobs Investment Program. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership and the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority collaborated to bring the project to the county.
Damian DiPippa, CEO of Auria and a 2026 Wash100 awardee, said the new facility will strengthen the company’s ability to collaborate with nearby customers and partners.
“Northern Virginia is rapidly becoming Auria’s largest employment footprint, making Reston the natural choice to complement our existing Warrenton operations and serve as our East Coast headquarters,” he added.
What Is Auria?
Auria is a national security and aerospace defense company that provides command, control and communications software, satellite scheduling and mission planning, and data-driven systems for space operations, space domain awareness, satellite communications, missile defense and cybersecurity. Established in 2024 through the combination of several space technology and national security firms, the company serves government, commercial and international customers.
What Other Moves Has Auria Made Recently?
The Reston headquarters announcement follows a string of acquisitions Auria has completed this year. The company acquired RKF Engineering Solutions and Kythera Space Solutions to expand its satellite communications capabilities and software portfolio. Auria then purchased BCubed Engineering to grow its hardware products and software-defined command, control and communications capabilities for national security customers.
Beyond its acquisitions, Auria has also secured new Space Force work. BAE Systems selected Auria to provide software and engineering support for the U.S. Space Force’s Medium Earth Orbit Epoch 2 Resilient Missile Warning and Tracking Program. The company has since secured three Space Force awards covering distributed training, satellite communications testing and space test infrastructure.
