Auria Space has received three separate awards from the U.S. Space Force covering distributed training, satellite communications testing and space test infrastructure, the company said Thursday.
What Will Auria Provide for Guardian Training?
Under one award, Auria will expand distributed training capability for the Space Force’s Operational Test and Training Infrastructure directorate by leveraging its Battlespace Operational Readiness Game, or BORG, Space training tool, a training system featuring a secure, isolated simulation environment. The system, used to teach basic aerospace concepts in academic settings, pairs game-style design with instructor-guided exercises to build core operational skills.
CEO Damian DiPippa, a 2026 Wash100 Award winner, said the effort aims to provide guardians with a training architecture built to keep pace as the operational environment grows more complex and will utilize agile development to develop a high-fidelity environment for training and procedural workflows.
What Will the MSFITS Award Support?
Under a separate OTTI contract, Auria will develop the Multirole Satellite Frequency In-Field Test Suite, or MSFITS, for the National Space Test and Training Complex-Electromagnetic. The system will support testing and operator training in satellite communications and radio frequency environments. It will let users configure representative scenarios, run them under controlled conditions and examine results through real-time and post-event analysis.
MSFITS is designed to work with existing SATCOM equipment, including modems, antenna systems and RF equipment. The system uses a modular open systems approach.
What Is the Pacific Crest Alliance Award?
Auria’s Pacific Crest Alliance joint venture with SNC will also participate in the National Space Test and Training Complex’s Innovative Technology and Engineering-Space Test and Range, or NITE-STAR, initiative under a multiple-award contract with a $981 million ceiling. The venture is one of 15 awardees selected for the OTTI-led effort, which supports space- and ground-based engineering work through July 2032. The partnership will produce and deploy systems such as payloads, sensors and communications relays for test, training and range environments.
DiPippa said the venture combines complementary strengths meant to help the Space Force deploy advanced testing and training technologies more quickly.
