PCI Federal is expanding its Technology & Mission Solutions, or TMS, Sector through Innovation Lab, an initiative focused on emerging technologies. The company said Thursday on LinkedIn that the lab will draw on capabilities in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data, engineering and other emerging technologies for federal missions.
TMS brings PCI Government Services, PCI Professional Services, SuprTEK, H2PCI and PCI Technology together under one organization focused on technology, professional services and mission support. PCI Federal announced the sector about four weeks before the Innovation Lab update.
What Is PCI Federal Developing Through the Innovation Lab?
The Innovation Lab is developing Advanced Insights, which PCI TMS described as a common foundation that links data readiness, secure deployment in accredited environments and decision-making workflows.
The lab is intended to support federal missions by bringing the capabilities of the TMS organization into technology development work. PCI Federal said the initiative builds on the five companies brought together under the sector. The company said the effort is intended to deliver tools and capabilities designed to help customers tackle mission challenges and control costs.
Who Is Leading the Innovation Lab?
Todd Hughes, vice president of AI strategy and solutions at PCI Federal, leads the Innovation Lab. He joined the company in July to lead the continued development of its advanced technology group, with a focus on helping agencies adopt AI.
Hughes brings more than two decades of experience from roles at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Scientific Systems, BigBear.ai, CACI International, Next Century and Lockheed Martin.
