- Sabel Systems and Anark Corporation signed a strategic partnership for Department of War and military services programs
- The partnership aims to accelerate defense acquisition and capability delivery
- The companies aim to improve technical review coverage and traceability across government and industry
Sabel Systems and Anark Corporation have entered into a strategic partnership to help Department of War and military services programs improve technical reviews through automated validation, model-based collaboration and connected engineering data.
What Does the Sabel-Anark Partnership Aim to Accomplish?
Sabel Systems said Wednesday that the partnership brings together Sabel’s defense acquisition and digital engineering expertise with Anark’s model-based collaboration platform.
The integration will enable government program offices, original equipment manufacturers and suppliers to work with technical data in a collaborative environment, providing broader visibility into technical data packages while creating a faster feedback loop between reviewers and engineering teams.
The approach is designed to help programs identify issues before they progress further into acquisition, manufacturing or sustainment activities. It also provides traceability across the review process and is intended to reduce engineering time spent addressing issues after technical reviews are completed.
What Does TDPWerx Bring to the Partnership?
A key component of the partnership is the integration of Sabel’s TDPWerx software.
Sabel introduced TDPWerx in February 2026 as a commercial off-the-shelf product designed to automate validation of technical data packages used across Department of War acquisition, production and sustainment programs. Earlier reporting on the technology cited a 370-fold expansion in validation coverage and review-cycle reductions of up to 50% compared with traditional methods.
Under the new partnership, TDPWerx will validate the full CAD baseline contained in a technical data package, while Anark’s technology will provide lightweight 3Di assets.
“Programs have lived with the reality that a CDR only validates a fraction of the CAD baseline, because manual review of the full package was never practical. By pairing TDPWerx’s automated validation with Anark’s model-based visualization, we’re validating the entire baseline and giving teams an efficient way to collaborate and provide feedback,” said John Cunningham, chief growth officer at Sabel.
Anark CEO Brett Heinrichs explained, “Our partnership with Sabel changes that: TDPWerx validates the full CAD baseline, and Anark’s model-based collaboration lets teams quickly share, review and give feedback on what’s delivered in the TDP, at scale. That combination accelerates technical reviews to go beyond a milestone checkbox and become a driver of program quality and cost control.”
How Does the Partnership Fit Into Sabel’s Digital Engineering Strategy?
The company expanded its partnership with Edge Total Intelligence in 2025 to advance digital engineering and digital twin capabilities across vehicle defense manufacturing, maritime operations and other warfighting domains. That collaboration combines Sabel’s systems engineering and defense research and development expertise with EdgeTI’s edgeCore platform and digital assets.
Sabel has also continued building its digital engineering technology portfolio. In June 2026, the company introduced 97Helix, a digital engineering platform designed to support the Department of War’s digital engineering framework and requirements associated with DoW Instruction 5000.97. The platform is designed to connect data from disparate systems and support digital twins, artificial intelligence applications and lifecycle management across acquisition programs.
