Carahsoft Technology will work to distribute to government customers the rack-scale system offered by Oxide Computer under a partnership between the two companies. Serving as master government aggregator for Oxide, Carahsoft said it will offer the Oxide Cloud Computer via its reseller network and under its government-wide and cooperative purchasing contracts.

What Is the Oxide Cloud Computer?
The rack-scale system pairs computing hardware with cloud control plane software, allowing organizations to run cloud services inside data centers or colocation sites they own, according to Carahsoft. The vertically integrated platform enables developers and infrastructure teams to self-provision compute, networking and storage resources on demand through APIs, a command-line interface and a web console.
For government users, the system features a hardware root of trust and an open-source, auditable software stack. Supported workloads include agentic artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, general IT operations and classified data processing.
What Did Oxide & Carahsoft Officials Say?
Steve Tuck, Oxide co-founder and CEO, said public sector organizations want to modernize IT infrastructure faster “while maintaining control over their data and operations inside environments they own.” He added that working with Carahsoft allows Oxide to reach government buyers “through their established procurement channels.”
Erica Raymond, Carahsoft’s director for infrastructure solutions, said Oxide’s rack-scale approach “fills a critical gap for government customers who need the agility of cloud but require data sovereignty and operational control that only owned infrastructure can provide.”
What Other Partnerships Has Carahsoft Formed Recently?
Oxide joins a growing list of Carahsoft vendor partners. Earlier in September, the company agreed to bring Polaris I/O’s decision intelligence platform to federal, defense and intelligence agencies. In August, Carahsoft added QuSecure’s post-quantum cryptography tools to its General Services Administration Schedule contract and signed on to distribute Melissa’s data quality and open-source intelligence offerings to public sector customers.
