The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency has awarded ASRC Federal subsidiary ASRC Research and Technology Solutions, or ARTS, the Case Processing Operation Center, or CPOC, 2.0 Support Services contract. ASRC Federal said Monday that the contract has a five-year period of performance and is worth $494 million.
What Is CPOC 2.0?
CPOC 2.0 aims to support functions concerning personnel security and federal background investigations, the majority of which is performed by DCSA. A draft solicitation for the contract was issued this March.
Under the contract, ARTS will work to help with the modernization of DCSA’s processes for personnel vetting and security clearance. Covered services include case maintenance, application ingestion, item level processing and post-closing support. ARTS will also help the agency implement and transition to future systems.
What Did ASRC Federal’s Mike Manzo Say About CPOC 2.0?
Commenting on the CPOC 2.0 award, ASRC Federal President and CEO Mike Manzo said his organization took pride in continuing to work with the DCSA. The company’s Professional Services subsidiary in 2020 collaborated with DCSA on the first iteration of CPOC. Worth $300 million, that contract called on ASRC to implement the National Background Investigation System and provide program management, case processing and facility monitoring services.
Regarding CPOC 2.0, Manzo went on to say, “Our ability to deliver high-quality, timely and compliant investigative services helps DCSA safeguard the integrity and trustworthiness of the federal workforce — one of the most essential responsibilities in national security.”
What Other Contracts Has ASRC Recently Won?
CPOC 2.0 comes on the heels of ASRC being awarded the Drug Enforcement Administration Delta Code recompete contract in August. Worth $75 million, Delta Code calls on ASRC to provide planning, implementation and maintenance support for DEA’s Concorde enterprise IT platform, which works to consolidate into a unified environment legacy or stove-piped applications used by the agency.
