Everfox, a provider of cross-domain and insider risk products and services, and Virtru, a company specializing in data-centric security, have entered into a strategic partnership with the aim of developing a platform that will help with compliance with Allied Communication Publication 240, a metadata standard meant to facilitate interoperability among adopters while promoting zero trust security in support of multinational military operations.
ACP 240-Compliant Data Sharing Fabric
Everfox said Thursday that the envisioned platform will combine its Cross Domain Solutions with Virtru’s Data Security Platform to result in a secure data sharing fabric that is compliant with ACP 240, which, underpinned by Virtru’s Zero Trust Data Format, is already in use by Five Eyes countries and their allies to achieve data-centric security for multi-domain operations.
The partnership is expected to bring about various benefits, including governed data sharing across classification boundaries; open, standard-based controls; trusted data movement across network boundaries; and readiness from sovereign cloud to the tactical edge.
Extending Zero Trust Across Multi-Domain Environments
Commenting on the partnership, Everfox CEO Sean Berg said, “Together with Virtru, we’re extending zero trust across multi-domain environments and enabling America’s security agencies to share vital information faster than ever and more securely than ever.”
For his part, Virtru CEO and co-founder John Ackerly said, “We’re thrilled to join forces with Everfox and its world-class CDS to deliver a next-generation, secure information-sharing fabric that will allow agencies to transfer data across classification boundaries while keeping controls on the data itself.”
