HII‘s Newport News Shipbuilding division has received a cost-plus-incentive-fee and firm-fixed price modification valued up to $276.1 million to a previously awarded U.S. Navy contract to provide additional advance planning and purchase long-lead time materials to support the refueling and overhauling activities of the USS Harry S. Truman.

RCOH Contract Modification Details
The Department of Defense said that work under the refueling complex overhaul, or RCOH, contract modification, will be carried out in Newport News, Virginia, and is scheduled for completion by September 2026. The contracting activity is the Naval Sea Systems Command.
Original RCOH Award
The original USS Harry S. Truman RCOH contract was awarded to HII in January 2024. That contract had a value of $913 million, which has since been increased to $970 million. The original expected completion date of June 2026 has also been pushed up to July 31, 2029.
