TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 12, 2020 — Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR) received contracts worth $20M combined to help the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency classify land covers and detect georgraphical area changes, ExecutiveGov reported April 28.

The company said April 28 it will provide imagery of terrestrial changes to the NGA and apply machine learning to offer the agency a comprehensive view of landscapes across the globe.

Tony Frazier, executive vice president of global field operations at Maxar and a former Wash100 awardee, said the company updates its analytic platforms and GEOINT services in an effort to help government customers access data they can use to perform intelligence and defense missions.

The contracts were awarded under NGA’s Janus Geography initiative and the General Services Administration's IT Schedule 70.
