Stratolaunch Books AFRL Contract for Flight Test of 2nd Hypersonic Vehicle
The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory has awarded Stratolaunch a contract to support the inaugural flight test of the company's second reusable Talon-A hypersonic vehicle called TA-3. The award came on the heels of a 2022 AFRL contract to facilitate the first flight of the initial configuration of the TA product line.

X-Bow Systems to Supply Rocket Motors to Navy, Army Under $64M DOD Contract
X-Bow Systems has secured a $64 million contract from the Department of Defense to supply large solid rocket motors to the U.S. Navy and Army. The SRMs will boost the propulsion of the Navy's hypersonic All Up Round system, which is a component of the Navy's Conventional Prompt Strike and the Army's Long Range Hypersonic weapon systems.

General Dynamics Expands With New Cyber Facility at Port San Antonio
General Dynamics' information technology business has established a new cyber facility at Port San Antonio in Texas in pursuit of regional expansion objectives. The facility will be used to develop advanced cyber as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance services in support of the U.S. Air Force's cyber division located at the Port campus and the nearby Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

CRDF Global Receives CDC Contract to Enhance HIV and Tuberculosis Testing Services
CRDF Global has secured a five-year contract from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief to bolster laboratory systems and services for the timely and high-quality testing of HIV and tuberculosis. Fluor to Continue Naval Nuclear Lab Support Under Navy Extension Contract
A Fluor business has secured a contract extension from the U.S. Navy to continue supporting the Nuclear Propulsion Program of the Naval Nuclear Laboratory for an additional five years to 2028. The contract extension allows Fluor Marine Propulsion to manage and operate the primary facilities of NNL in New York, Pennsylvania and Idaho, Fluor said Monday.

HII Launches New Navy Amphibious Assault Ship
An HII shipbuilding division launched USS Bougainville, the third America-class amphibious assault ship, for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps on Sept. 30. Early last month, Bougainville was transferred to a dry dock via railcars to the company’s floating dry dock, where the team prepared the ship for its launch into the Pascagoula River in Mississippi, HII said Friday.
