Report: Boeing Vet Richard Baniak to Join University of Missouri-St. Louis as CFO

BudgetRichard Baniak, chief financial officer of the air and space unit at Boeing‘s Phantom Works business, has been named vice chancellor for administration and CFO at the University of Missouri at St. Louis, the St. Louis Business Journal reported Friday.

His appointment takes effect May 1 and he will succeed the retiring James Krueger, according to the report by Diana Barr.

Baniak started his career at McDonnell Douglas Corp. in 1984 as an estimator for the company’s F-15 production team and joined Boeing through its merger with McDonnell Douglas in 1997.

He has held various financial and business management positions during his career at Boeing.

The UMSL alumnus also previously served as an adjunct faculty member at DePaul University.
