Peraton Taps Former Army Officials Jennifer Swanson, Danielle Moyer as Defense VPs

Jennifer Swanson and Danielle Moyer have joined Peraton‘s defense segment as vice presidents, with Swanson overseeing technology and Moyer leading strategy. The company announced the appointments Monday on LinkedIn.

Swanson will support Peraton’s adoption of new digital capabilities while helping drive the company’s technology strategy. Moyer will partner with business leaders and the growth and capture teams to pursue new opportunities and carry out the company’s growth plans.

The appointments add to Peraton’s defense leadership team under Gabe Camarillo, who was named president of the defense sector in May after serving as the Army’s under secretary. Camarillo said both executives bring experience with government customers and creative approaches to supporting the warfighter.

Peraton President and Chief Operating Officer Bob Genter, a previous Wash100 Award winner, said Swanson and Moyer bring expertise that will support the company’s work with the DOW and its modernization efforts.

Who Is Jennifer Swanson?

Swanson is a defense technology adviser with more than 33 years of Department of War acquisition experience and a background in digital engineering, software and artificial intelligence. Prior to Peraton, Swanson founded Swanson Strategic Solutions and served as vice president of digital and next-generation solutions at Cypress International.

Her government career included more than 28 years with the U.S. Army, where she most recently served as deputy assistant secretary of the Army for data, engineering and software before retiring from government service. Swanson held multiple senior posts, including director of the Software Engineering Center and chief engineer for the program executive office command, control, communications-tactical. Earlier in her career, she held analyst and engineering roles with the Air Force and Army.

Who Is Danielle Moyer?

Moyer spent more than 25 years in Army acquisition and contracting, gaining extensive knowledge in acquisition reform through oversight of multibillion-dollar federal portfolios. She previously served as executive director, head of contracting activity and chief of contracting office at the Army Contracting Command.

She was also deputy executive director of the Army’s Communications-Electronics Command Software Engineering Center. Earlier in her career, Moyer served as a contracting officer with the Research, Development and Engineering Command and spent nearly eight years as a contract specialist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
