- Parsons was selected for the Navy’s $350 million S2ISR contract vehicle
- The company will compete for task orders supporting maritime ISR missions
- The work will cover engineering, cybersecurity, testing and technical services
The Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific has awarded Parsons a position in the U.S. Navy’s $350 million Seabed to Space Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, or S2ISR, multiple-award contract, the company announced Thursday.
Mike Kushin, president of defense and intelligence at Parsons, said the company’s selection for the S2ISR program reflects its ability to deliver integrated, multi-domain capabilities to address complex mission requirements.
What Will Parsons Provide Under the S2ISR Contract?
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers research, development, test and evaluation, or RDT&E, and technical engineering services for the S2ISR program. Parsons will compete for task orders covering ISR systems from development through deployment and sustainment. Its work will include technical, operational and cybersecurity services.
The award will support the Navy’s efforts to develop maritime ISR and information operations capabilities.
“By combining advanced engineering, data analytics, and cybersecurity expertise, we are helping the Navy accelerate the delivery of resilient, mission-critical capabilities from the seabed to space,” said Kushin.
What Capabilities Will the Contract Support?
The effort will support capabilities for communication, security and surveillance in multiple operational environments. Parsons said its work will cover multiple domains, including autonomous and non-autonomous systems, tactical communications networks and satellite systems.
Parsons, an incumbent on the existing S2ISR contract vehicle, was among 16 companies NIWC Pacific selected in May, alongside Booz Allen Hamilton, General Dynamics Information Technology, HII Mission Technologies, KBR Wyle Services, Leidos, Peraton, SAIC and eight others.
