Jim Scott, former geographic information officer for the state of Texas, will lead the development of Applied Geographics‘ Geospatial Services and Technology Development Center in Austin, Texas, as the company’s operations director in the state.
Scott has worked on geospatial and remote sensing technologies for more than 20 years, AppGeo said Tuesday.
“With his leadership, we look forward to extending our customer-focused geospatial services in Texas and the southern and western US,” said Rich Grady, AppGeo’s president.
Scott also noted the current demand for location and geographic services across all sectors.
AppGeo is a Boston, MA.-based provider of geographic information systems and geospatial information technology consulting services.
