Arnaud Vaissie, co-founder, chairman and CEO of International SOS, has received Mongolia’s Order of the Polar Star distinction for his support of the company’s medical services in the country.

Bold Luvsanvandan, member of the Mongolian Parliament and former minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, presented Mongolia’s highest civilian award to Vaissie at a dinner held in Paris on July 6, International SOS said Friday.

International SOS opened its first clinic and emergency services center in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in 2003 in an effort to deliver healthcare services to individuals, businesses and organizations.

“It is a great honour to accept this award on behalf of International SOS,” Vaissie said.

“The strength of our services owes much to the support we receive from national partners and health authorities as they endeavour to develop international health care services for their country’s citizens and its visitors,” he added.
