HIIs Mission Technologies division has launched GRIMM, an advanced spectrum dominance system that works to detect and locate hostile communications, radar signals and other electronic threats.

What Does HII’s GRIMM Spectrum Dominance System Do?

The Maclean, Virginia-based company said Monday the system provides situational awareness, intelligence support and force protection across multiple defense operations. The GRIMM technology, which will be showcased at the Association of Old Crows’ 2025 International Symposium & Convention, operates on unmanned platforms for both passive and active electronic warfare missions.

What Did HII’s Andy Green & Grant Hagen Say About GRIMM?

“Mission success requires a multi-domain, fully capable solution that provides the agility and precision our forces need to protect national interests worldwide, and GRIMM is delivering that capability today,” said Andy Green, executive vice president of HII, president of HII Mission Technologies and a seven-time Wash100 Award winner.

“GRIMM empowers advanced operations across diverse environments around the world, including contested electromagnetic spectrum scenarios,” remarked Grant Hagen, president of the warfare systems group within HII Mission Technologies.

“We are excited to introduce this next evolution of our EW technology, a small form factor spectrum dominance solution enabling operations on unmanned systems,” Hagen added.
