General Dynamics LogoThe European land systems unit of General Dynamics has delivered four mobile bridge systems to New Zealand’s army to help cross gaps such as streams and rivers, UPI reported Thursday.

The bridge systems were a joint purchase with the U.K.’s defense ministry.

The purchase is part of a bigger equipment upgrade project that includes combat Earth-moving equipment and water treatment systems for the Army’s engineering unit, the report said.

Additionally, the New Zealand government also purchased four prime mover construction trucks from Germany-based Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles.
