BAE Systems has flown an electronic warfare aircraft equipped with its Small Adaptive Bank of Electronic Resources system to test SABER's potential to provide software updates to the EC-37B Compass Call platform. The company said Monday it worked with the U.S. Air Force to test the technology over 11 EC-130H EW aircraft flights at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona.
Kratos Defense and Security Solutions and the Air Force Research Laboratory completed the sixth flight test of the company’s XQ-58A Valkyrie unmanned aerial vehicle on March 26 at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. BWX Technologies announced on Thursday that NASA has awarded its subsidiary, BWXT Advanced Technologies, a one-year $9.4 million contract to continue its Nuclear Thermal Propulsion (NTP) design, manufacturing development and test support work. The contract builds on BWXT’s work that started in 2017.
