Amentum has relocated its Hawaii office to a larger facility in Honolulu, expanding its regional footprint to support U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, or USINDOPACOM, operations.

What Is Included in the New Facility?

The company said Monday the new site at 3375 Koapaka Street replaces its previous Aiea location, opened in July 2023, and expands its local headquarters by fourfold. The move involves the establishment of a Center for Contested Logistics, a hub focused on addressing key challenges in modern warfare.

Why Did Amentum Relocate Its Hawaii Office?

The relocation is intended to better position Amentum to support USINDOPACOM operations and enhance mission execution across the region.

The Indo-Pacific remains a key priority for defense strategy, with evolving threats to communications, logistics and cyber infrastructure. Anti-access and area-denial tactics present challenges that require adaptable systems and sustained readiness.

USINDOPACOM plays a central role in maintaining regional stability and supporting military operations across a broad geographic area.

Mark Walter, president of engineering and technology at Amentum, said the expansion is intended to centralize operations and development teams in the region with Hawaii-based customers.

“This investment enhances our ability to scale operations, rapidly develop solutions and adapt to the evolving security dynamics in the Asia-Pacific region,” Walter added.

How Does Amentum Support USINDOPACOM?

Amentum manages a workforce of more than 1,000 personnel across Hawaii, supporting multiple defense-related programs. These include technology analysis and experimentation efforts, as well as work at the Pacific Missile Range Facility in partnership with a Native Hawaiian-owned company. The company also provides services such as intelligence analysis, logistics, supply chain management and aircraft maintenance, contributing to operational readiness in the region.
