ModelOp and Carahsoft Technology have partnered to expand public sector access to ModelOp’s artificial intelligence management capabilities.

As federal civilian agencies expand their use of AI, data and cloud technologies, the Potomac Officers Club’s 2026 FedCiv Summit on Oct. 29 will bring together senior government leaders and industry executives to discuss AI adoption, cybersecurity, infrastructure, workforce initiatives and other priorities shaping federal civilian missions. What Does ModelOp’s AI Delivery Platform Do?

Carahsoft said Wednesday agencies managing machine learning projects, generative AI, agentic AI and vendor-built AI tools often end up running each under a different process. ModelOp’s AI delivery platform serves as an enterprise AI command center and operating layer for managing these systems. It works to track every AI system an agency runs, keeps lifecycle updates on schedule and enforces governance rules without requiring agencies to abandon the machine learning operations, or MLOps, compliance, IT service and data management tools they already have in place.

Michael Adams, program executive for AI Solutions at Carahsoft, said the tool is meant to give agencies a clearer view of what their AI systems are doing, with reporting and compliance checks happening in real time, supporting informed decision-making and strategic growth.

The tool is aimed at state and local governments, schools and healthcare systems that receive government funding, along with federal and defense agencies.

What Will the Partnership Cover?

Carahsoft said that as ModelOp’s master government aggregator, it will make the company’s AI system of record, AI governance, automated lifecycle management and operational intelligence offerings available through its reseller partners and various government procurement contracts. The partnership adds another AI governance offering to Carahsoft’s public-sector portfolio following its agreement with Tumeryk to distribute technology focused on AI security posture, governance, compliance and risk.

Alex Rice, director of partnerships at ModelOp, said the partnership will make the company’s capabilities available to government IT buyers through established procurement contracts as agentic AI drives demand for updated governance practices.

Carahsoft has also recently partnered with Cohere to make its AI models and North agentic AI offering available to government customers through its reseller network and contract vehicles, adding to the company’s growing focus on AI technologies for public-sector users.
