Leidos has built an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to locate software vulnerabilities and patch them without human intervention. The company introduced the tool, called Parcata, on Wednesday.
Parcata is not yet in customers’ hands. Leidos said it is running the platform against its own code before deploying it to mission environments. The tool recently underwent internal technical exercises.

What Does Parcata Do?
The platform is model-agnostic, drawing on a range of large language models. Leidos said that design keeps the tool from depending on any single frontier model.

How Does Parcata Connect to DARPA’s AI Cyber Challenge?
Leidos credited its Kudu Dynamics team with developing the platform and said the underlying technology was validated through the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s AI Cyber Challenge, or AIxCC.
AIxCC ran from 2023 to 2025 and challenged competitors to build autonomous cyber-reasoning systems capable of identifying and patching flaws in the open-source software that underpins critical infrastructure. Team Atlanta took first place and $4 million when the competition concluded in August 2025. DARPA released the seven finalist systems as open-source software.
Leidos said the work supports its NorthStar 2030 strategy.
