Aretum, a provider of technology-enabled mission support services to federal agencies, has appointed Jason McGill as director of business development for its federal civilian portfolio, tasking him with leading growth initiatives and agency engagement efforts.

What Will McGill Do at Aretum?

The Vienna, Virginia-based company said McGill will oversee business development strategy across civilian agencies, with a focus on expanding partnerships and supporting government agencies’ modernization efforts.

“Jason’s deep understanding of the federal civilian landscape and his proven ability to translate strategy into mission impact make him a tremendous addition to our team,” said Sean DuGuay, chief growth officer at Aretum. “His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to expand our presence and deliver meaningful results for our customers.”

What Experience Does McGill Bring?

McGill has more than two decades of experience driving transformation efforts across the public sector. He served as business development principal for human services at Abt Global and as director of delivery at Centennial Technologies. He was also director of growth for health at MetroStar and director of business development for grants at REI Systems.

He spent over nine years at the Department of Health and Human Services, where he served as director of strategic partnerships and business initiatives. At HHS, he played an instrumental role in creating a government-wide shared services platform for grants and financial management.

McGill began his career at Dell/EMC, supporting state and local governments facing data storage challenges.

Recent Executive Moves

McGill’s appointment follows recent leadership moves at the government IT services contractor, including the promotion of Amy French to chief financial officer in March and the addition of former Tsymmetry CEO Michael Herrington as defense sector lead in December 2025.
