What Are the Details of the SIEMaaS Contract?

Elastic said Tuesday that ECS had been awarded the CISA contract, which comes with a base value of $26 million and options that raise the amount to $130 million. ECS will work with Elastic to design, host and operate the platform on the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program-certified Elastic Cloud.

What Is the SIEMaaS Initiative?

SIEMaaS is a program designed to close whole-of-government cyber visibility gaps by consolidating telemetry into a single, cloud-hosted platform. It aims to unify cybersecurity monitoring across federal civilian executive branch agencies, enhancing real-time threat detection and incident response. It is also intended to strengthen data collection, threat detection and incident response to reinforce agencies’ cybersecurity.

“Federal agencies remain a top target for cyber adversaries, and the current pace and complexity of attacks demand a new operational model. By consolidating cybersecurity telemetry into a shared, cloud-based SIEM service built on Elastic’s platform, CISA is setting a new standard for speed, scale, and collective defense across civilian agencies,” said Ash Kulkarni, CEO of Elastic.
