BAE Systems OneArc and PLEXSYS have formalized their longstanding partnership to strengthen the technical integration between their synthetic training systems as demand for advanced, multi-domain simulation accelerates across allied defense forces. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding on the opening day of I/ITSEC 2025 in Orlando, Florida, according to a press release sent to ExecutiveBiz.

Why Is OneArc Expanding Its Synthetic Training Partnerships?

OneArc, the BAE Systems business unit behind the VBS4 virtual desktop training environment, is expanding strategic relationships as militaries seek more cohesive and scalable simulation ecosystems. VBS4 is designed to support tactical training, experimentation and mission rehearsal, and build and execute mission scenarios with any image generator.

Jenna Tuck, OneArc’s senior director for strategic growth and partnerships, said the collaboration with PLEXSYS is essential as militaries enhance readiness for complex all-domain missions.

How Will the OneArc–PLEXSYS Integration Evolve?

Under the agreement, OneArc and PLEXSYS will synchronize technical road maps, expand interoperability and co-develop capabilities that reflect real operational requirements.

PLEXSYS’s Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer 7 system will serve as the multi-domain engine that generates activity across the synthetic battlespace, while VBS4 will provide the immersive visualization layer for individual and collective training.

The companies plan joint customer engagement and closer alignment on future product releases to maintain compatibility as new features are rolled out.

“OneArc’s platforms and our environment generator already work together within many customer ecosystems, and this MoU allows us to take that collaboration even further,” said PLEXSYS Chief Operations Officer Hart Rutherford.
