Astraeus Operations has received a contract to provide IT support services for the Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic, or SWFLANT, at the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in Georgia.

AO said Friday it will align closely with the Navy’s Strategic Systems Program Enterprise to ensure that SWFLANT’s technological infrastructure meets operational priorities.

“Supporting SWFLANT’s IT infrastructure is a responsibility we take seriously,” said AO President Kris Singleton. “This award reinforces our team’s dedication to enabling secure and reliable operations for one of the Navy’s most critical strategic facilities. It highlights our ability to deliver advanced support where precision and performance are paramount.”

What Is the Scope of the SWFLANT IT Support Contract?

The contract includes computer management and helpdesk support services for SWFLANT, covering both classified and unclassified networks.

Under the contract, AO will manage and maintain 1,000 Windows personal computers and 1,500 user accounts distributed across the base. According to the company, about 30 percent of systems are located in high-security areas.

What Is SWFLANT?

SWFLANT plays a critical role in the Navy’s strategic deterrence mission.

The facility provides missiles and weapons system support to the service’s fleet of ballistic missile submarines. It is also responsible for assembling the D-5 missile and processing missile guidance and launcher subsystem components.

What Does Astraeus Operations Do?

Founded in 2021, AO is a Chenega MIOS subsidiary that provides IT, cybersecurity and engineering support for federal agencies and commercial clients.

The 8(a) certified and Alaska Native Corporation-owned organization operates within and outside the continental U.S. AO is eligible for direct awards of up to $150 million for the Department of Defense and $30 million for non-DOD agencies without justification and approval.
