Red Hat Picks Carahsoft for North American Public Sector Distributor Award

Red Hat has given its North American Public Sector Distributor of the Year Award to Carahsoft Technology Corp. for its work to offer Red Hat tools to public sector clients in 2013.

The companies started their partnership in 2005 and Carahsoft serves as a sales force to Red Hat in Canada, Red Hat and Carahsoft said Tuesday.

Mike Byrd, Red Hat director for public sector channel sales, said his company recognized Carahsoft’s work as a General Services Administration schedule holder.

Carahsoft’s other partners in the government marketplace include VMware, Adobe, Symantec, EMC, F5 Networks, SAP and HP.
