Autonomous software provider BMC has received a new provisional authorization to provide cloud service products to the Department of Defense in support of its information technology service management modernization.

BMC said Monday it received the Defense Information Systems Agency's Impact Level 4 PA for the company's Helix ITSM product designed to support cloud migration and digital transformation.

BMC Helix ITSM operates on Amazon Web Services' cloud to streamline transition to cloud and automate customers' digital enterprise.

The certification also validates Helix ITSM's compliance with security standards imposed by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and the DOD.

Jon Powers, area vice president and federal management at BMC, said the company will provide defense clients with the DISA IL-4-authorized BMC Helix ITSM platform on AWS GovCloud to help them advance cloud initiatives and ensure confidence in program and mission success.
