Perspecta’s research arm has received a potential seven-year, $24.7M contract to provide telecommunications and engineering standards support to aid the U.S. Navy in its emergency preparedness and national security initiatives.

Perspecta Labs will help the Navy deploy Next Generation Network Priority Services intended for the service branch’s LTE networks and internet protocol multimedia subsystem, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award has a base value of $17.8M to cover a five-year base period and has two 12-month options that would extend work through Oct. 5, 2027.

The Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific will obligate $258K in fiscal 2020 Department of Homeland Security procurement, construction and improvement funds for the first task order at the time of award.

Contract work will take place in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, through Oct. 5, 2025.  

NGN-PS is an acquisition program under DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency aimed at ensuring agencies’ access to priority data, voice and video communications services. The program is one of CISA’s four priority telecom services initiatives.
