Apptega has launched a new framework meant to guide defense contractors and their partners through the process of complying with requirements under the Department of Defense's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program.
A CMMC compliance framework has been incorporated into Apptega's cybersecurity management offering to help customers determine an appropriate level of certification they can pursue, the company said Wednesday.
Armistead Whitney, CEO of Apptega, said the company seeks to work with consultants and certifying bodies to help contractors comply with the certification requirements.
The DoD is scheduled to implement CMMC standards this fall as part of efforts to standardize and ensure cybersecurity across the defense industrial base.
