The U.S. Air Force has selected Steampunk to provide a design approach that allows developers to modernize applications with boosted speed and a human-centric approach.

The company will deliver its Design Intelligence offering under the service branch’s Small Business Innovation Research program, USAF said Tuesday.

Nick Trzcinski, senior vice president of Steampunk’s defense sector, said Design Intelligence allows for boosted adoption with a developmental focus on the warfighter.

Matt Warren, CEO at Steampunk, said the SBIR award marks the company’s first engagement in the defense market.

The award allows Steampunk to work in support of all 11 federal agencies that use the SBIR program.
