Oracle Joins NSF-Backed Cloud Project to Advance Scientific Research
Oracle has taken part in a National Science Foundation-funded project that aims to develop cloud capabilities to support scientific computing research and related applications. Oracle said Tuesday nonprofit technology organization Internet2 will oversee the two phases of the Exploring Clouds for Acceleration of Science project to explore the capabilities of cloud platforms for research and computational science.
